To update an engine to the latest version, a full re-training is required. Quick training does not change the version of an engine. However, a full re-training is only recommended when the status is unsupported. Engines with supported status can be still safely used. |
A note about stock+ engine versions
Stock+ engines are customised customized stock engines (read more here). This means that the version of a stock+ engine is directly determined by the underlying stock engine. For example, if the version of a stock engine is 4.0.1, the version of the derived stock+ engine will also be 4.0.1.
Stock engines are not always up-to-date with the latest Globalese version. It may occur (especially after a new Globalese version has just been released) that while you are already using Globalese 4.0.1, one or more stock engines are still available as version 3.12. Consequently, if there is no stock engine with the current Globalese version, the stock+ engine using it is still considered current as there is nothing gained from retraining it.
