API keys for text translation

API keys for text translation

API keys for text translation can be managed by system administrators on the Administration > API keys for text translation page.

API keys for text translation are a means to grant permissions to (typically external) users on a per-engine basis. These API keys can be used to authenticate a user using a deployed engine to translate sentences, through CAT tool plugins or otherwise.

By handing out API keys for text translation, you don’t need to create a full-fledged Globalese user account. They can be revoked any time, either by removing an engine from the list of permitted engines, or by deleting the API key completely.

The Statistics page displays all text-based translation requests, along with the name of the user or API key who made the requests.
