Document translation

Globalese accepts XLIFF files for translation, which need to be organised in projects. A project is a logical grouping of translatable files with the same language combination, with an engine assigned for translation.

If you are using a CAT tool that already has a plugin for Globalese, you don’t need to create projects and upload/download files to/from Globalese — your CAT tool will do all of that for you.

Check out the list of supported file formats and the levels of integration on this page.

Using projects to pre-translate XLIFF files

  1. Create a project.

  2. Upload files or import them from a CAT tool server.

  3. Pre-translate the files.

  4. Download the pre-translated files or deliver them straight to the CAT tool project (if they were previously imported).
